meet dr. Kwiatkowski
Terrance J. Kwiatkowski, M.D. is a board certified Otorhinolaryngologist - Head & Neck Surgeon, a fellowship trained Neurotologist/Skull Base Surgeon, and a highly trained Rhinologist/Sinus surgeon.
He attended medical school at the State University of New York - Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY where he was medically and surgically groomed in the ‘Knife and Gun Club’ arena of inner city Brooklyn. His free time was spent volunteering in the Kings County Hospital Trauma Center, and taking the subway into Manhattan for great food, drink and theater. He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, won the Otolaryngology Medical Student Award, and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1994. Of note, he was the first student in the history of this medical school to obtain a surgical subspecialty residency at an Ivy League institution, that being University of Pennsylvania (the nation’s first medical school and a perennial Top-Five Otorhinolarygology program).
Dr. Kwiatkowski trained in residence from 1994-99 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), as well as Pennsylvania Hospital - the nations first and longest standing hospital in center city of Philadelphia. While there, he fostered his love for ear and skull base surgery, and was mentored in advanced and complex sinus surgery by Dr. David Kennedy, M.D., often thought of as the ‘father of endoscopic sinus surgery’ and then chair of the department. He had extensive Head and Neck Surgery training from several faculty who are now department chairs at Mayo Clinic - Scottsdale, and M.D. Anderson - Texas. At CHOP he gained exceptional experience in Pediatric Otolaryngology having been trained by the nation’s busiest Academic Pediatric ENT group.
From 1999-2001, Dr. Kwiatkowski trained in advance ear and skull base surgery at The University of California - San Diego and Kaiser-Permanente Southern California Center for Skull Base Surgery. Here, he met and married his lovely wife in 2000, and upon completion of his fellowship they moved to Henderson, Nevada where they live to this day. Dr. Kwiatkowski had maintained a part-time solo practice in Bullhead City, Arizona from 2004 - 2014, but is now full time in Las Vegas.
As a direct result of his well rounded training, Dr. Kwiatkowski is versed in all aspects of ENT and is comfortable with all ages and complexities of patients. More importantly, however, Dr. Kwiatkowski possesses the judgment of one who understands both sides of the medical street and the path between them...i.e., the proper role of state of the art, personal, outstanding care as provided in his private practice setting - and, when necessary - the smooth transition into quaternary care medicine available at nearby advanced learning and teaching institutions at which many of Dr. Kwiatkowski’s friends and colleagues are based.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Kwiatkowski most enjoys spending quality time with his wife and family, golfing with his dad, skiing with his friends, participating in sport of nearly any kind, and exploring the world through travel.
