Who Performs Eustachian Tube Balloon Dilation in Las Vegas?

I’m your doctor, Dr. Terrance J. Kwiatkowski, and I perform Eustachian tube balloon dilation for appropriate candidates in Las Vegas and Henderson. This procedure may be an option for patients with chronic ETD, including persistent ear pressure, fullness, muffled hearing, or difficulty equalizing, when medical treatment has not provided adequate relief.

How Does the Procedure Work?

A small balloon catheter is passed through the nose to the opening of the Eustachian tube. The balloon is gently inflated to widen the tube and then removed. The procedure is typically performed under general anesthesia and takes only a few minutes per side.

Who May Benefit From Balloon Dilation?

Balloon dilation may be appropriate for patients with obstructive Eustachian tube dysfunction who have not achieved adequate relief with medical treatment. A thorough evaluation is necessary to confirm the diagnosis and determine whether the procedure is appropriate.
